“Nicole wrote me one day and said, ‘you live so far away :-(.’ I replied, ‘yeah, that happens.’ The next day she asked me how my day was and I told her about a snorkeling trip I just got back from, which I then learned was an activity she also enjoys. After that, we started talking more until we exchanged phone numbers. We talked for about a month or so, and then, she flew down from Washington state to see me in Oregon. The visit went really well! After the weekend she was here, it was all the proof we needed that we belonged together.”
