A lot of women prefer dating younger men… probably more than you think. A survey by AARP shows that 35 percent of midlife and older women who are single are dating younger men. As women age, the man pool shrinks significantly, so dating younger people only makes sense.

“For women, a younger man also brings less baggage and a less demanding schedule, so he has more free time to attend to the needs of an older and established woman,” says Tantra and sex expert, Psalm Isadora.

2. Younger men are more open-minded
Because they have fewer responsibilities and are less set in their ways, younger men are open to having new experiences, says Isadora.

3. They’re more adventurous
“A younger man’s sense of adventure can be very appealing to women looking to have fun and lead an active life,” says life coach and author of Dating the Younger Man, Cyndi Targosz. “Older women feel totally worshipped and desired in these relationships,” she adds.

4. He appreciates a woman’s maturity.
Many younger men who date older women say that they’re tired of the emotional games younger women play and how younger women can sometimes use sex as a bargaining chip instead of just enjoying sex for their own needs and desires.

5. You may be overall satisfied with everything.
According to a study published in the 2008 Journal Psychology of Women Quarterly, women who were a decade or older than their partners were more satisfied and committed to their relationships than women who were in a relationship with someone closer to their own age.

6. Younger men tend to have more sexual energy.
“Older men may struggle with impotency or low sex drive. Younger men tend to take more pride in their stamina and athleticism in the bedroom and are more likely to wait until the woman has been fully pleasured before they allow themselves to climax,” says Isadora.

7. Younger guys love confident women.
Many guys admit that confidence is one of the sexiest qualities in a woman. And older women are generally at a point in their life when they’re not needy. In fact, younger men tend to welcome their advice.

According to a poll by Prevention Magazine, when asked whether younger men were better looking than their aging counterparts, 37 percent of women said that good looks were a main factor in why they choose to date younger men. Kind of a no-brainer.
