Perry, Cooper, and Swift: This Week’s Breakups and Makeups

Taylor Swift says hello while Bradley Cooper and John Mayer say goodbye.

Broken Heart: Singers John Mayer and Katy Perry are no longer making beautiful music together. The off-and-on couple have officially broken up (for the second time). The two had rekindled their romance earlier this year with Mayer supporting Perry’s Super Bowl debut from the sidelines. But according to an insider, Mayer is telling friends, that despite their “Hot ‘N Cold” romance, this time it’s “over for good.” Apparently the Grammy winner no longer thinks Perry’s body is a wonderland. He’s told friends that he “fell out of love with Perry but will always love her.”

Celine Dion (E! News)

Standing By Her Man: Superstar Celine Dion has opened up about her husband Rene Angelil’s ongoing battle with cancer. “I am scared of losing him, because it’s bad,” she says to People Magazine. “But I have to show myself, my husband and my kids that I’m strong and we’re okay.” The Canadian singer, who took a break from her popular Las Vegas show to care for Angelil and their three sons, is planning to take the stage again. “René will be in the audience,” she says about opening night. “I promise there will be high, happy notes, but it’s going to be very emotional for me.” That’s a true example of “The Power of Love.”

Calvin-Harris-Taylor-Swift (the Mirror)

New Love: It looks like Taylor Swift may have a new boyfriend—or, at least, a new potential hit sing. The “Shake It Off” pop star was spotted in Nashville with DJ Calvin Harris. A fan captured the twosome strolling out of a Whole Foods together, stopping to chat with a young fan. Apparently, the pair have been spending quite a bit of time together. Maybe too much time because, by the looks of the new pics, the new couple seem to already be color coordinating their outfits. And we thought Swift had “Style”…

Bradley Cooper (NY Times)

Flying Solo: Good news, ladies. Oscar-nominee, and all-around hottie, Bradley Cooper is officially back on the market. The American Sniper star has reportedly called it quits from his supermodel girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse. The couple had been dating for two years. The pair were private about their relationship, so it comes as no surprise that both of their reps have yet to comment publicly on the split. Last year, Waterhouse told Elle U.K. that” I’m not one of those girls who goes on about their boyfriends. I do think whatever I say will sound weird. But the truth is, if I start talking about him, I probably won’t be able to stop. And I don’t really want to talk about him, you know?”

Pretty Woman Reunion (US Magazine)

Still A Pretty Woman: Can you believe that it’s been 25 years since Pretty Woman debuted? The stars of the celebrated rom-com couldn’t believe it either when they sat down with Matt Lauer to discuss the film that made Julia Roberts a star. “It feels like 45 years,” Richard Gere joked. “But like I said, that was two marriages ago for me.” The cast shared tidbits from the set, revealing that the original script had been much darker, and that Gere had initially passed on the movie before he met Roberts and realized how great their chemistry was. It’s truly a classic worth watching again — especially with a date!
