1. Make sure your headline fits your personality
First off, a disclaimer… Any profile headline you write should fit you and who you are. If you’re not a very funny guy and tend to be more laid back, then choose a laid-back headline. 3. Don’t be afraid to get a little philosophical
Because so many dating profiles tend to be the same, someone who reveals a little bit more about themselves or is honest about who they are and their philosophy in life can make a big impact. Think about how you feel about life and our place in it and if you have something to say, then say it.

4. Make a list of favorite thing
One of the easiest ways to make a great headline is simply listing off a few of your favorite things. They can be big or small, important or trivial, but it’s the small details about the small things you enjoy that can help tell someone more about who you are and what you’re looking for.

IPAs, sunny days, new trails, and new people.
Live music, long weekends, and challenges.
Strangers on trains, old friends, and new adventures.
Sunday football, sarcasm, and great stories.
5. Obscure references are the best kinds
Do you have a favorite book, movie, or TV show you can quote at the drop of a hat? Try pulling one of your favorite love quotes from a movie, song lyrics, or SNL jokes and reformatting it to a dating profile headline. You’d be surprised how much fun it can be.
