“Chad messaged me on Zoosk by telling me how jealous he was of my surfing picture. I replied, and we spent the next two weeks getting to know each other. When we met in-person, we found each other attractive and got along well. But, he felt like I wasn’t into him. I guess I had some walls up. After the date, I texted him and told him I had a good time and would be open to doing it again, which was completely out of character for me. On our second date, I loved that he didn’t play anything safe—he shared his real thoughts and feelings with me, intelligently and passionately. At the end of the night, he walked me to my car and we parted ways. As I drove off, I realized that I found him more enticing than any other man I had dated in a long time. So I texted him saying, ‘You should have kissed me.’ He replied instantly, ‘I still can.’ We met at the next exit in a parking lot and he initiated what was the first of many of my favorite kisses.
We got married a year and three months later! My wedding gift? A thoughtful scrapbook that began with, ‘Boy meets girl’ and then screenshots of all of our Zoosk communication. Lol. Thank you for bringing us together! We look forward to forever with each other (and our blended families).”
