Breaking up is never easy and when you’re getting over heartbreak, when you’re still a little sore or even invested in the relationship, it’s especially hard. Sometimes at the end of something it’s easy to feel lost, so to help give you a way forward, Brad Browning has come up with three easy but essential things you need to do in order to move on.

What’s the best thing you can do after a breakup? Well in this video, I’m going to answer that question. I am Brad Browning by the way. I run a YouTube channel with around 13 million views.
So, what is the best thing you can do after a breakup? Well, that really all depends on what your goals are. So if your plan is to move on and begin dating other people, there’s a few key things that you really need to remember.
#1: You must absolutely refrain from contacting your ex for any reason.
If you’re still heartbroken over the breakup and you just can’t seem to get them out of your mind, then avoiding your ex is one of the quickest ways to move on with your life. I have a ton of clients that try to move on from their exes but can’t, and the simple reason for most of them is because they’d rather remain friends and be part of their ex’s life right after the breakup. Be friends with your ex in the future at some point, but if your goal is to move forward with your life and date other people then avoiding contact with your ex for now is the best course of action.
#2: You’re going to want to remove any reminders that you have of your ex.
You know, you probably have old pictures, gifts, old love letters. I know you probably don’t want to get rid of that stuff right now, and that’s okay. But for now, it’s best just to hide all those reminders in a shoe-box or something, and put it preferably in a place that’s not easy to get to just so that you aren’t constantly being reminded of your ex. I mean we all know that feeling when, you know, we’re being reminded of someone we miss, right? It sucks. And especially directly after a breakup, it’s really difficult. So removing any sort of visual reminder of your ex is going to help you get over the breakup a lot faster.
#3: Throw yourself head first into as many social situations as you can.
I know, I know, after a breakup all you probably want to do is wallow in your sorrow, stay at home, and watch cheesy Netflix movies. And while it is completely normal and healthy to lament your breakup, doing so for a week straight just isn’t healthy. I tell all my clients, to sign up for art classes, sports clubs, and social meet ups.
And that’s all for today, guys. I hope you got a lot out of the video. I enjoyed making it. I’ll talk to you again soon.
